Lakkatura Tea Estate - The Oldest Tea Garden in Bangladesh
Lakkatura Tea Estate is one of the oldest tea gardens in Bangladesh. Located close to the city of Sylhet, it is one of the most beautiful tea gardens in the country. With a plantation area of 1,600 acres, Lakkatura Tea Estate is one of the largest tea estates in the country. It produces around 500,000 kg of tea every year.
There are 160 tea gardens in Bangladesh with a production capacity of 50-60 million kg of tea. Most of these tea gardens are located in Sylhet, the northeastern region of the country. Some of the oldest and most beautiful tea gardens are located in this area. Lakkatura Tea Estate is one them.
