Detian Falls (Ban Gioc) - Beautiful Waterfalls on the Border Between China and Vietnam
Located on the border between Vietnam and China, Detian Falls (also known as Ban Gioc in Vietnamese) are two beautiful waterfalls. However, in summer, sometimes both waterfalls become combined into a massive waterfall due to the heavy rain. As a result, the two waterfalls are commonly known as Detian Falls in China and as Ban Gioc in Vietnam. Detian Falls are considered among the largest waterfalls in Asia.
Detian Falls (Ban Gioc) are made out of three main waterfalls separated by rocks and trees. The falls measure a little more than 200 meters in combined width. Detian Falls drops for more than 70 meters on three different levels. The tallest waterfall is about 30 meter high. However, in summer, all the drops turn into a massive waterfall and the thundering effect of the water hitting the cliffs can be heard from afar.
