The Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most visited castles in Germany and one of the most popular tourist destination in Europe. It is a 19th century Romanesque Revival palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The castle is also known as "the castle of the fairy-tale king".
The Neuschwanstein Castle was built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria, also known as the Fairytale King. It is a castle of the paradox. It really looks like a fairytale castle and the castle was built in a time when castles no longer had strategical and defensive purposes.
