Rangamati - A Place of Wild Natural Beauty

Rangamati is a hilly a district in south-eastern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chittagong Hill Tracts along with Khagrachhari and Bandarban. Rangamati is the largest district in Bangladesh and is the home of wild natural beauty. It is one of the most beautiful areas in the country. The small town of Rangamati itself is regarded as the Lake City of Bangladesh. However, the real charm of Rangamati lies not in the town itself but rather in the lush, undulating and verdant surrounding countryside.




Rangamati is a perfect place to discover a big portion of pure natural beauty of Bangladesh. The green hills, lakes and rivers have made it a wonderful place to visit. For long time Rangamati has been a prime Bangladesh tourist destination for its hilly location, scenic beauty, colorful tribal culture. It is a place to visit throughout the year. However, Rangamati expresses her full beauty in rainy season when trees become greener, waterfalls are in full tide, the rivers are in full wave.




Kaptai Lake is the main tourist attraction in Rangamati. It is the largest man-made lake in Bangladesh and is a perfect place for boating. Some other beautiful places in Rangamati include - Shuvolong Falls, Tribal Museum, Hanging Bridge, Kaptai National Park, Rajban Bihar, Peda Ting Ting and the Chakma Royal Palace.
