Curacao - A Beautiful Caribbean Island

Located in the southern Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Venezuela, Curacao is a beautiful Caribbean island. It is among the group known as the ABC Islands alongside Aruba and Bonaire. It is the largest island in the group measuring six miles wide and about thirty seven miles long. The island has a tropical savannah climate, with little rain and warm temperatures throughout the year. Travelers will enjoy the low humidity and frequent breezes penetrating the heat of the day.



Curacao features historic settlements, rugged landscapes, and endless opportunities for fun. It has become one of the hottest destinations in the Caribbean for romantic travelers. Curacao has nearly 40 beaches, ranging from tranquil bays to secluded coves. The beaches are concentrated on the southern coast, especially the western side. Among the most popular beaches in Curacao include - Seaquarium Beach (Mambo Beach), Blauwbaai, Daaibooi and Playa Lagun.



Curacao is regarded as a paradise for scuba divers and nature lovers alike. Its protected reefs teem with marine life, providing excellent underwater playgrounds for scuba divers and snorkelers. Coral reefs for snorkeling and scuba diving can be reached without a boat. The southern coast of Curacao has calm waters and therefore it is home to the majority of diving locations. The coastline of Curacao also features bays and inlets, where boats are moored.
