It is not possible to imagine how lovely this land is without going there to see for yourself. Completely different from India, hardly any litter for a start. Friendly people and lots to do, stay on a houseboat if you can, Noor Palace. Dal Lake is great and the Gosani family who own it very welcoming. If you dont mind the outdoors go on a river trip or a hiking trip It is a bit of a bird watchers paradise too, eagles galore and 3 species of kingfishers my favourite being black and white striped.
