Wulingyuan has a number of karst features including some 40 caves with spectacular calcite deposits. There are two spectacular natural bridges in the scenic area of Wulingyuan. One is Xianrenqias (Bridge of the Immortals) and Tianqiashengkong (Bridge Across the Sky). It is situated 357 meters above the valley floor. It is probably the highest natural bridge in the world.

The Mausoleum is the tomb of the first emperor of China’s Qin Dynasty. It is located at the northern foot of the Lishan Mountain in Lintong District of China's Shaanxi province. It is the largest mausoleum ever discovered in the world. The Mausoleum ranks first of all imperial mausoleums in terms of its massive scale and rich variety of burial objects.


The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor is situated underneath a 76-meter tall tomb mound. The tomb was designed to be 166 meters high, but years of weathering and damage have reduced the height. The mausoleum covers a total of 2.18 million square meters, with the tomb itself covering 220,000 square meters.


To date, the tomb of the Emperor Qin has not been excavated. But the terracotta army unearthed nearby has already stunned the world. The 8,000 soldiers which make up the famous Terracotta Army have dazzled the world. They are anything but massively interesting and has been called the “eighth wonder of the world”.


The First Qin Emperor, named Ying Zheng, was one of the most notable emperors in ancient China. He came to the throne of Qin at the age of 13. According to historical records, the construction of the Mausoleum was initiated in 246 BC. The construction work lasted for 38 years and completed in 208 BC.

The Qin Dynasty is a splendid page in the history of China. And the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor almost embodies the highest achievement of Qin civilization. Colorful Bangla New Year Celebration in Bangladesh

Bangladesh celebrates the Pohela Boishakh, the first day of the Bangla New Year, with colorful festivities. It is the first day of the first Bangla month Boishakh and occurs on 14th April. It is a day of collective celebration in Bangladesh and has become an integral part of the Bengali cultural heritage and tradition over the years.



Pohela Boishakh, the first day of the Bangla New Year, is marked with singing, processions and fairs throughout the country. The celebration begins at dawn at Romna Botomul where musicians of Chayanot, a leading cultural organization, plays songs with traditional dances. The day is celebrated with much pomp and fanfare. On the occasion of the Bangla New Year, the entire country gets into a festive mood.



People of Bangladesh celebrate the New Year with colorful festivities. People from all walks of life wear traditional Bengali attire. Bengali women get dressed in traditional saris with their hair all bedecked in flowers while men wear traditional Panjabis. A huge colorful procession is organized by the students and teachers of Institute of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka.
